La gravidanza è uno dei periodi più emozionanti della vita. Tuttavia, alcune donne potrebbero soffrire di disturbi dovuti ai cambiamenti fisici e ormonali a cui va incontro il corpo durante il periodo della gestazione.
I più comuni sono i fastidi intimi, il reflusso gastroesofageo e le emorroidi.
Le cause principali sono i cambiamenti ormonali – soprattutto nei primi mesi di gravidanza per quanto riguarda il reflusso – e l’aumento del volume dell’utero. La crescita del bambino nella cavità addominale genera un significativo incremento della pressione sul pavimento pelvico e questo aumenta, di conseguenza, il rischio di infiammare le emorroidi.
Il reflusso gastroesofageo si presenta quando i succhi gastrici implicati nel processo della digestione risalgono, entrando in contatto con le pareti dell’esofago. Accade spesso dopo i pasti principali, in modo diverso sia in termini di durata che di intensità. Generalmente è correlata a un malfunzionamento dello sfintere esofageo inferiore.
Le emorroidi sono vasi sanguigni situati all’interno del canale anale che svolgono un ruolo molto importante nella gestione della continenza fecale. Quando si dilatano e si infiammano, si parla di malattia emorroidaria. Si stima che circa l’80% delle donne soffra di emorroidi in gravidanza.
Le emorroidi possono essere interne (a volte non causano dolore ma possono sanguinare) o esterne (dolorose, compaiono dopo uno sforzo intenso come in caso di stitichezza).

E non solo: assumere una postura corretta dopo i pasti è fondamentale, così come aumentare la qualità del sonno.
